It’s too easy to whip out my iPhone and snap tons of pictures I’ll never look at again. In 2026, I set out to be more intentional. One of the ways I’m putting this to practice is by challenging myself to not take any iPhone photos this entire year. I want to experience the sacredness of making a photograph by introducing this element of scarcity (film is expensive). I have no particular goal for this project- I’m curious to see how my psychology around this will evolve over time artistically and overall as a participant of the world.
